Registration is a very simple process. To register as a contestant in The Akron Star Search. Click on the button below that reads “Contestant REGISTRATION”
Fill in all fields to include your name, date of birth, email address and the name of the bar/venue you’re singing for in the home bar section. (your favorite go-to bar). During registration don’t forget to input a unique stage name. This name is your identification for the duration of this contest, you will also be given a unique order number that is REQUIRED ALONG WITH YOUR STAGE NAME to participate in events. Write it down, keep it in your pocket, make it your screen saver, do whatever you must to keep it handy. You’ll need it to register at each qualifying event you attend. It’s also the name all points earned will be attributed to. Be sure the KJ has your correct stage name. This responsibility is yours, nobody else’s.
Upon purchasing a ticket, you will receive an email that includes a unique order number. This number is solely for our tracking purposes, so please use your stage name followed by the order number when signing up at a venue. For example, if your stage name is Joe and your order number is 9054, please sign up as Joe#9054. Make sure to inform the KJ of your correct stage name. Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure that the correct name is used, as all points earned will be attributed to it.
